Mandurah, Mar 2021

👩‍🦰 A short but sweet overnight birthday trip because my love spoils me so! He wouldn’t give me any information about where we were headed, but I do love a surprise (as long as I’m dressed/packed appropriately for the occasion haha!).

We started out cruising around on the water in the boat and it was a lovely day for it. We even saw a dolphin; Aaron tried to claim that he organised it 🐬🤣 We dropped the anchor for a quick dip in shallow water (I’m not too brave about jumping off the boat into deep waters eek!) and the water was absolutely perfect.

After our dip we headed back on our merry way and not too long later we arrived at a tavern for a yummy lunch. It really is novel just pulling up from the water and jumping off the boat right onto the beach next to the tavern, makes me feel like a superstar haha!

The next surprise was our beautiful canal-front accommodation in Mandurah - again, we just pulled right up by boat and jumped off right in the backyard.

We took a little afternoon nap after all those delicious carbs, then headed out for some more haha! I'll never be too old for naps or caramel milkshakes. Top it off with takeaway dessert from the restaurant and a movie on the couch and it doesn’t get much more perfect than that 💜
