👩‍🦰 Ask anyone where the best place to go for a fancy dinner that’ll really knock someone’s socks off is and 9 times out of 10, Fraser’s Restaurant will be their pick! I’d actually never been before so I decided it was high time to change that, and I booked us in for Aaron’s birthday for dinner.

We arrived there just in time to get a few snaps out the front with the beautiful city skyline in the background, but I wish we’d had a bit more time to really enjoy the view. If you do visit, make sure you arrive nice and early before your booking and before the sun sets! A nice lady seated outside was kind enough to offer to take some pictures for us when she saw us struggling to selfie haha!

I told my love to order whatever he wanted and not worry about the price because it was my treat, obviously! I’d been saving up for this occasion, because I knew that Fraser’s wasn’t cheap. Aaron ordered the oysters and some squid for starters while I had some bread and dip, and it all was really yum.

For mains we had the fish and chips (Aaron) and the lamb (me), we also ordered a side of chips because we weren’t sure how big the meals would be. Well, the chips were not necessary. While my lamb didn’t look huge, it was rich and definitely more than enough - and delicious! All of the food was absolutely lovely, as were the accompanying drinks (non-alcoholic for me and plenty of wine for Aaron).

For dessert, I had the cheesecake, which was yummy (although far too small for a sweet-tooth like myself haha) and Aaron had a creme brulee, which came complete with ‘happy birthday’ written on the plate and a song. Awww!

I can easily say that this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Perth. The view is beautiful and even if you’re seated inside you can see out to the city and the water. Every course was consistently delish, and the service was friendly and very attentive, which unfortunately isn’t always the case with Perth dining.

Yes it's expensive, but it will be my go to restaurant for special occasions now purely because the food, service and view make it worth every penny. Next time I’d love to go back in Summer so we can sit outside and really make the most of the fresh air and the beautiful view!
